Constitution : Demand and Making of Constitution

 

What is State ?

A Political form of Society is Called State or Country. A Country has Fixed Land Boundary, Population and Common Government.

What is Constitution ?

Generally, Country has Three Parts that is Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. Constitution set the Functions and Limitation on Country's three parts.

Demand Of Constitution 


In 1895

First Demand of Constitution and Constitutional Assembly through Swaraj Bill brought by Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

In 1922

 Mahatma Gandhi stated Indian Constitution will make by Indian People.

In 1928

 Motilal Nehru Proposed Nehru Report with 19 Fundamental Rights. Nehru Report also called Blue Print of Indian Constitution. But, this report was rejected by Muslim League due to absence of Separate Electoral.

In 1934  

M.N. Roy made a Draft of Constitution on the request of Jawaharlal Nehru. But, this draft opposed by Mahatma Gandhi due to provision of Direct Transfer of  Power to Common People, not to Political Party.

In 1936, Faizpur Session of Congress

Congress decided to demand Constituent Assembly at National Level from British Government.

Began of World War 2 

Britain want to take support of India and India demanding Constituent Assembly.

8 August 1940 

Viceroy Lord Linlithigow promised to make Constituent Assembly after Ending World War 2 this is August Offer and it was not accepted. Mahatma Gandhi said August Offer is Rusty Nail in the Door.
